Myriam Schryve is a French artist living and working between France and in UAE. She paints under the name “Atelier M paintings”. She is interested in people with difficulties, handicap or without ordinary life who are able to transform their hardships into positive energy. Her work deals with the key moment when life fall over. This special time between “before” and “after”. Whatever physical or moral values, everyone can face a hardship, whatever it is. Reconstruction is an inner part of our lives.

These paintings are part of a series that bear the witness to the complex situations of the visually impaired. Each painting represents a real person that she has followed for nearly 10 years. It gives form to their visual fields, their inner energy and emotions in order to better understand them and their situation without any statement, judgment or dramatization.
